Keynote by Mr. Khwaja Shamsuddin Azeemi

Respected ladies and gentlemen Assalam Alaykum. Peace be upon you.

All humans are children of the same parents Adam and Eve. The knowledge given to Adam was passed to Moses in Torah and then to Jesus in Bible and so on. The same message was repeated by one hundred and twenty-four thousand prophets sent to earth. The holy scriptures bestowed upon Abraham and then Prophet Mohommad by God carried the same message. The purpose was to preserve the knowledge given to Adam and pass it on to his children. We should all live together in peace and harmony. The divine scruptures state, hold on firmly to the rope of God. Stand together united and do not differentiate amongst yourselves. The knowledge given to Adam is your inheritance. If you want to claim that, do not rebel against God, do not disobey him. Be Happy. I would like to congratulate you all, thankyou and best wishes. Peace be upon you.

Summary of events

Adam Day 2016 California event was celebrated in the city of Newark. The evening started at 7 pm. On behalf of Mr. Khwaja Shamsuddin Azeemi the patriarch of Sufi Order of Azeemia, Adam Day host Mr. Mohammad Mudassir Azeemi welcomed the guests.

Mrs. Shumaila Kashif Azeemi recited verse 46 of the chapter Surah Al-Maida from the Holy Quran. The topic of her recitation was that Quran certifies the existence of all heavenly scriptures came earlier.

Mrs. Huma Arjumand Azeemi presented a poem praising the Almighty and Mrs. Sarah Asghar read a nasheed praising Prophet Mohammad (pbuh).

Mr. Mohammad Mudasssir Azeemi presented the special message about Adam Day from the patriarch of Sufi Order of Azeemia Mr. Khwaja Shamsuddin Azeemi. The first guest speaker of the evening was Mr. Mark McCormick, who in his video message from Thailand shed light on his spiritual journey. He said that due to the misunderstanding of the holy scriptures humanity commits serious crimes like slavery and violence against women. He mentioned the importance of salat, meditation and yoga to reach the eternal truth. He said that it’s necessary that we all understand the importance of Adam Day and as God lives in all of us, don’t think of the other person any different.

Up next was Mr. Ilya Perchikovsky, who reflected upon his Jewish background and the journey that brought him from Russia to United States. He mentioned that he was not allowed to practice his religion in Russia. Even in America he said that people had misconceptions about the religious practices of Jews. So, he took it upon himself to correct those misleading ideas people had. He referred to the verses of Torah translated as love your neighbors and don’t think others are different from you. He congratulated the participants of Adam Day and emphasized that we should always strive to maintain unity and brotherhood as it is evident today.

The last speaker of the evening Mr. Arjumand Azeemi referred to the Quran’s chapter Al-Imran which emphasizes on unity and refrains from causing divisions in fellow human beings. He said unity is real power but we are not familiar with its essence. We can all work together and use our combined energy for the betterment of humanity. The purpose to follow a religion is to correct ourselves but we look for errors in others. There is a greater need for religious tolerance in today’s society. Referring to the verses of Quran, Torah, Bible and Bhagawad Gita he said that all religions give the message to love God and His creatures and same is the message of Adam Day

The audience cheered and applauded when Mr. Kevin Pringle and Ms. Kerry performed John Lennon’s Imagine. Their performance was highly praised.

At the end, Adam Day host Mr. Mohammad Mudassir Azeemi presented flowers to the speakers. He thanked all the participants and invited everybody for the dinner.
